General
Country Guardians web Site: "Country Guardian is the National Campaign to oppose wind turbines in Britain's precious landscapes and promote energy conservation. We strongly advocate the need for drastic cuts in energy consumption but object to windfarms."
See especially: The case against Wind "Farms" by Dr. J.R. Etherington.
National Wind Watch: "This site provides the resources that promoters of industrial wind don't. Armed with unspun information, you can decide for yourself whether the elusive benefits of large-scale wind energy development are enough to justify the further destruction of rural communities and the environment."
View of Scotland: "Read on to find out why we believe that the Scottish Executive’s current policy of unlimited consents for wind power stations across Scotland is fatally flawed, will never be the answer to climate change issues, cannot fulfill the national energy supply requirements expected of it and inflicts an extensive and unjustifiable environmental"
Renewable Energy Foundation: "REF encourages the development of renewable energy and energy conservation whilst safeguarding the landscapes of the United Kingdom from unsustainable industrialisation."
The Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales: "the Charity which values the distinctiveness of all Welsh landscapes and the identity of its rural communities."

Protest Groups (often with some very good information)
Save our scenery: Action group based in North Wales, lobbying to protect heritage coastline of North Wales from industrialisation by windfarm developers who are seeking to site 260 wind turbines in the Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. These turbines will be close into shore and located on a natural sand bank which forms part of our coastal defences. Please visit our website and leave a message of support in the `register your objection` section and support our campaign in any way you can.
The Ramblers Association: "The Ramblers’ Association and South Wales communities are taking to the hills in January 2007 in a series of Teithiau Gorwel Agored - Clear Horizon Walks to raise awareness of new wind turbine developments being planned across the South of Wales."
Cynon Valley Protection Group: Cynon Valley opposition site
The Mynydd Llansadwrn Action Group: This was formed to oppose a scheme to build three 91-metre-high wind turbines on Mynydd Llansadwrn. This is a local protest group and has a very good and informative website.

Accoustic Noise & Health
Noise, Health and Human Rights issues: The information available on this site looks at the health impact on families when developers build wind turbines too close to their homes
UK Noise Association: "Wind farms ARE causing noise problems"
Telegraph news report: "Onshore wind farms are a health hazard to people living near them because of the low- frequency noise that they emit, according to new medical studies. Doctors say that the turbines - some of which are taller than Big Ben - can cause headaches and depression among residents living up to a mile"
