SWATT - How to Object to Wind Farm Developments
Thanks for your interest and please find attached letters of objection to all of the current wind farm planning applications. We hope these are useful and please feel free to distribute to anyone else who could use them.
You may prefer to send your own letters - The attached are only a version of objection letters that some of us at SWATT got together to prepare with the help of a professional 'planning consultant'.
Our letters don't go into either the technical limitations of turbines nor the problems with WAG TAN 8 policy - because planning depts aren't allowed to take these into consideration. Instead the letters focus on 'Material planning considerations' - i.e. points on which the proposed wind farm developments go against Bridgend, RCT or WAG planning policy as laid down in their respective planning guidance docs and in the most recent ARUPS report on the boundaries of TAN 8 Area F 'strategic search areas'.
URGENT! Wind Farm proposals (and Access Track) objection letters are here:-
Please print these, complete and send them off. The more that are received, the more impact they will have. Please help to preserve our environment!
There are only two letters in all, as we have determined that the planning authorities can accept letters objecting to multiple planning applications.
Letter to BCBC (This will open as a Word document)
Letter to RCT (This will open as a Word document)
Please print extra copies of these letters and hand them on to other interested people, or email them onwards.
it is really important that as many letters are received as possible, this means that there is more chance that your voice will really get heard!
